Soft tissue treatment starts with an assessment of the client's injury/posture and then follows up with an appropriate treatment plan. The treatment can include sports massage, muscle energy techniques (MET), soft tissue release (STR), neuromuscular techniques, myofascial cupping and rehabilitation exercises.
The benefits of having soft tissue treatment are:
-
Reduces pain (muscle strain, sciatica, tension headaches, back pain, shoulder pain, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow)
-
Improves range of motion and flexibility
-
Helps personal wellbeing

Myofascial Cupping
Myofascial cupping is done with plastic cylinders and a hand operated vacuum pump to target key areas of the musculo-skeletal system. The cups are used to glide over the skin as well as being stationary, targeting the tender and tight muscles or trigger points. Once the cups are placed on the skin, the connective tissue is lifted, allowing the blood flow and the lymph flow to increase. The increased flow helps bring oxygen to the affected area to help the healing process which can leave dark circles.
The benefits of having soft tissue treatment are:
• Reduces tight knots adhesion
• Promoting blood flow and tissue repair
• Increases range of movement in joints
• Draws toxins out of the muscles
• Drains lymph and cellular debris
• Helps treat musculo-skeletal pain or injury

Kinesiology Tape
Kinesiology tape is an elastic tape that is applied to the muscles to provide a sensory input. The kinesiology tape helps support muscles but doesn’t limit movement allowing you to carry on with your sports and other daily activities. Kinesiology tape would also be used for treating injuries, supporting weak areas, re-educating muscles, enhancing performance and managing scars.
Kinesiology Tape may help to:
-
Reduce pressure on pain receptors
-
Increase lymphatic drainage
-
Reduce pain through sensory bombardment
-
Improve movements through proprioception
-
Decrease swelling
